Crafted for a bold, espresso-forward experience, our Guatemala Dark Roast delivers deep notes of milk chocolate, brown sugar, dried cherry, and marzipan. Roasted dark to enhance richness and sweetness, this washed coffee offers a bright, lively acidity with a smooth body and a clean, structured finish. It shines as espresso but remains beautifully balanced for drip or French press.
Sourced through the La Morena program, this coffee supports more than 800 women farmers across Guatemala’s Huehuetenango and Baja Verapaz regions. Originally launched in 2016 as a small micro-lot, the program was created to expand access to global markets and address gender inequality in coffee farming. What began with just four producers has grown into a powerful network of women cultivating exceptional specialty coffee.
Grown at elevations between 5,000 and 6,500 feet in Huehuetenango’s dry, high-altitude climate, these coffees develop remarkable clarity and intensity. The combination of mountain-grown density and careful washed processing produces a cup with depth, sweetness, and structure. Bold yet refined, this is a dark roast built for those who appreciate strength with purpose.
